1980 Alumni, Joe DiPierto just won his first Tony Award for the musical Memphis. Joe wrote the lyrics for the play. Congratulations to Joe, Can't wait to see what he does next. If you have not seen Memphis you should.

RD's Paul Fishman was sworn in on Monday, December 15, 2009 as th 54th U.S. attorney for New Jersey. More then 500 people including the US attorney general and a former Homeland Security secretary were on hand for one of the largest ever swearing in of a U.S. attorney. Paul lives in Montclair with his wife Lynn and their 2 sons. We wish him all the best on his new journey

The Friends of River Dell will be taking nominations for this years Distinguished Graduate Award. If you have someone that you would like to make a nomination please download the nomination form and mail it to Cindy Sherlock 682 Bogert Rd, River Edge, NJ 07661.

One of RD's Distinguished Graduates, James McQueeny has added to his resume. The Council of the International Public Relations Association has appointed him their U.S. representative. He was also named its deputy representative to the Department of Public Information and to the Economic and Social Council, both part of the United Nations.  We wish him all the best.

The River Dell Community today celebrates the life of our coach, Matty Certosimo. Coach passed away last night, Feburary 8th. He leaves behind for many of us memories of an excellent teacher, a fine mentor, and a coach that taught us the true meaning of character and sportsmanship. He touched not only the lives of his athletes but also the kindness of this man reached deep into the River Dell Community. He will be missed. However, in this case, it is true that his memory, and more importantly, his lintegrity on and off the field will live on in River Dell.

The 2008 -2009 school will mark the 50th anniversary of River Dell. There will be events planned throughout the school year for all. If you would like to help please contact Frank Niccoletti at frank.niccoletti@riverdell.org
